In this session, we will discuss emerging insights and practical mentorship strategies gleaned from hands-on experiences and early-stage data. We’ll highlight how TRIO professionals and college access advocates can create affirming spaces and foster identity-conscious support systems for students who, like us, are often the first in their families to navigate higher education. Attendees will leave equipped with adaptable tools, including interactive “interactive insight mapping,” to engage students and strengthen retention across multiple educational levels.
