This session will center on the personal journey of a TRIO alum who navigated the complexities of being a student of color, coming from a single-parent household, and managing mental health challenges. By sharing this experience, the session aims to highlight the importance of resilience, mental wellness, and the recognition that the college journey is not a straight path. Participants will learn how to create environments that support students through their unique, non-linear journeys and foster resilience through multiple resources, including TRIO programs, EOP/HEOP, and other support services. Through interactive discussions, real-life anecdotes, and collaborative problem-solving, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how to empower students to thrive, even when the road gets tough.
