The Association for Equality & Excellence in Education
Founded in 1976 and formally established as a nonprofit organization in 1986, the Association for Equality and Excellence in Education, Inc. (AEEE) is a regional consortium of academic professionals, administrators, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and policymakers committed to advancing educational opportunities for low-income, first-generation college students, veterans, and students with disabilities across New York and New Jersey.
Through a wide range of membership services and initiatives, AEEE works in conjunction with colleges, universities, and agencies that host TRIO programs to help low-income students successfully access, persist, and graduate from college. Each year, AEEE’s 142 member institutions and agencies collectively provide college access and retention services to more than 33,000 students.
AEEE unites TRIO program professionals, educators, and advocates dedicated to advancing the educational and cultural development of underrepresented and underserved populations throughout New York and New Jersey. The Association fosters access and opportunity by offering professional development, collegial support, scholarships, and a variety of resources for program personnel, interested individuals, and students alike.
